Pâques 2007

Okay. I've had enough. First, the ACLU has tried to do away with Christmas, and still are trying. The Ten Commandments were removed from several Supreme Courts. And now THIS. THIS!!! THIS:

No, tes yeux do not deceive you. That is the 2007 Easter logo from our buddies over at Google.com. A little digging from yours truly revealed that they have the guts to ignore Easter, but they have no problem with celebrating Percival Lowell's birthday in 2006? Just last year? I had to look him up on the Wikipedia just to know who he was! According to them...

"Percival Lowell (March 13, 1855–November 12, 1916) was a businessman, author, mathematician, and astronomer who fueled speculation that there were canals on Mars, founded the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, and formed the beginning of the effort that led to the discovery of Pluto 14 years after his death.

As it turns out, there was no Easter logo last year or the year before. No, not since 2001 have we seen an acknowledgement from Google that it even EXISTS. The last Easter logo appeared in 2000. How hard could it be to even just reproduce that same image?

Ya. Thanks Google. Thanks for allowing us to celebrate this important, but obscure, man in place of the holiday that's been going on for a good 2000 years, and will continue to do so until the end of this earth. Let me officially THANK YOU SOOO MUCH. Bleh.
